Pikogan : In loving memory of Ms. Waapikun Mowatt who passed away on December 18th, 2025 at the age of 35. Resident of Pikogan, daugther of Mrs. Suzie Mowatt (Walter Rupert) and granddaughter of Margaret Mowatt and late Fred Mowatt.
Ms. Mowatt is survived by her mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters : Tasha Mowatt (Yoann Trapper), Jonas Rupert (Shyna Kistabish), Marcus Rupert (Julianna Moar) and Malika Ruper; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; her nephews and nieces : Treyton, Felishia, Winnie, Evelyn and Holly; and many relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Amos hospital and at the Royal Victoria Hospital of Montreal for the excellent care provided.
Ms. Mowatt will be exposed at Ste-Catherine Church of 40 Rue Tom Rankin, Pikogan on Monday December 29th, 2025, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Tuesday December 30th, 2025, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday December 30th, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Ste-Catherine Church of Pikogan.
The burial will take place at Pikogan Cemetery at a later date.
