Rouyn-Noranda: It is with sadness that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Mr. Victor Didyk, a long time resident of Matagami, on Februaury 2, 2026 at the age of 81. He was the son of late Stefan Didyk and the late Nadia Madey.
Mr. Didyk is survived by his children: Colleen (Didyk), Roy (Rob) of Timmins, Ontario and Derek Dydik (Natasha) of St.Thomas, Ontario; his borthers and sister: Richard Madey (Lise) of Rouyn-Noranda, Edward Madey of Capreol, Ontario and Lily (Madey) Mc Donnald (Dennis) of Pentiction, British-Columbia; his grandchildren: Rj Roy (Sophie) of Timmins, Ontario, Cambraya and Shyah of St.Thomas, Ontario; his neices and nephews: Lea (Bowie and Stormi) and Heidi of Rouyn-Noranda, Shawn (Jennifer) and Liam of Hanmer, Ontario.
The family would like to thank the Cooperative funeral home for their kindness and service during this difficult time, as well as all those individuals in the town of Matagami who knew Victor and saw him on his many walks around town.
Burial will take place at the Noranda Cemetery in the month of June.
